Operate End Mill, Lathe, Drill Press and other machines used in the shop from blueprints, drawings, written and verbal instructions. Able to use and understand precision measuring tools required.
SENIOR MACHINIST
Must have at least 12 years of on-the-job experience. Proficiency in machining, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing. Ability to operate and maintain precision machinery such as, but not limited to, CNC and manual, End Mills, Lathes, Drill Press and other machines used in the shop. Must be able to set up and use proper tooling for various applications per blueprints, detail drawings, written and verbal instructions. Able to use and understand precision measuring tools, but not limited to, the following: calipers, micrometers and gauges as required. Must be a self-motivator, with strong attention to detail and problem solving.
JUNIOR MACHINIST
Must have up to 2 years experience can be combined with Vocation, Trade, or College with proof of completion. Basic understanding of blueprint reading, shop math and machine tools. Assist in setting up, operating and maintaining machinery (CNC or manual) lathes, mills, and drills to produce precision parts per blueprint specification. Ability to follow detailed instructions from Supervisors, Shop leads and Senior Machinist. Utilize precision measuring tools, but not limited to, the following: calipers, micrometers, and gauges, etc. to check parts for accuracy and defects. Assist with loading, deburring parts, and monitoring machines during production.
