In the mining industry DMW provides handling systems to convey a wide range of minerals and coals. Minerals include iron ore, copper, gold, bauxite, etc. DMW has been involved handling various coals; such as, Powder River Basin, lignites, bituminous and anthracite. These projects include in-pit crushing, overland conveyors, storage/reclaim systems and rail loadout facilities. DMW has provided economic studies for customers to analyze transportation cost between trucks vs. overland conveyors to transport material within the mine site.
DMW has worked with mining customers to integrate specialty processing equipment into the material handling system. This includes crushing and screening stations, blending systems, and agglomeration systems. We have provided “wrap around” engineering services for customers who want to buy their specialty processing equipment directly from the vendor. We are flexible in the approach to projects in this industry – we can supply turnkey systems or design supply only.
DMW will integrate auxiliary equipment, such as dust collection systems, weighing systems, automatic sampling systems into the material handling project to produce a complete operating system for your company.
We are currently bidding and supplying several long downhill systems for the movement of coal from remote sites through primary crushing and onto pipe conveyors and conventional conveyors to plant storage. We are continually evaluating downhill transport of ore to heap leach pads and mine tailings to storage. We are currently working on a project in Kentucky to move ash and tailings in the opposite direction as the raw materials were moved into the plant for disposal in the underground mine.
We use creativity to come up with flexible solutions to convey materials and assure that those systems are reliable and capital wise. |
